Hale Watch is a not-for-profit group made up of local businesses and residents who share one goal – to keep Hale special. From organising large-scale events to raising funds for projects that bring people together, everything we do is about celebrating our community and protecting the charm that makes Hale unique.
Help Us Light Up Hale!
The team at Hale Watch, who brought you the hugely popular HaleFest, are proud to be leading the way with Hale’s Christmas Lights 2025.
This year marks a historic first for our village — we’re organising Hale’s very first Christmas Lights Switch-On event on Saturday 29th November 2025, an afternoon full of fun, festivities, and entertainment for families and children to enjoy.
Unlike many towns, Trafford Council does not provide any funding for Hale’s Christmas lights. Every sparkle you see is made possible by the generous support of our local community. Traditionally, local businesses have shouldered much of this responsibility, but with rising costs and difficult times for many, we’re asking everyone — both residents and businesses — to play a part this year.
The total cost of delivering the lights and celebrations is £20,000. Thanks to funds raised at HaleFest, we’re already well on our way — but we need your help to reach the finish line. If every resident and business contributed just a little, together we could easily achieve our target.
Every donation, big or small, will help us make Hale sparkle brighter than ever before and create something magical that our whole community can be proud of
Hale Fest is set to return in 2026! Following the huge success of last year’s festival, we will once again transform Hale Village into a hub of music, food, family entertainment, and community spirit. Plans are already underway to make HaleFest 2026 even more spectacular — details will be announced soon.
Local bands and performers all day on the main stage
A delicious mix of world foods, BBQ, sweets & snacks
Face painters, balloon artists, circus skills and more!
Handmade treats from Hale’s independents
Thousands of visitors enjoyed live music, food, family activities, and more at our first-ever community festival.
From small touches to big initiatives, we’re always looking for ways to improve village life.
Every event and campaign is designed to bring people together and keep Hale thriving.
We champion the character, heritage, and individuality that make Hale so special, helping to raise its profile while protecting the village’s identity.
Here are just a handful of the local businesses, without whom, Hale Watch could not do what we do
